My Story

My entry into the helping profession began over 25 years ago when I volunteered for a crisis line while in college. This experience helped shape my belief that everyone deserves support and no one should feel ashamed for needing help. Since that time, I worked with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, individuals and families experiencing homelessness, and marginalized communities fighting to overcome oppression.

As a mental health counselor, I welcome all feelings, experiences, and parts of you. My approach to counseling is integrative which means I match the tools and models I'm trained in to best meet the needs of my clients. As we work together, I welcome your questions and feedback to help align and attune our relationship. Whether you are new to counseling and wondering what this is all about or want to build on work you’ve already done, I’m committed to providing a welcoming, nonjudgmental space rooted in compassion, curiosity, and connection.

Originally from Virginia, my family and I now call the Pacific Northwest our home. When I'm not in the office, you can find me exploring nature, trying new foods, enjoying a good cup of coffee, or reading everything from paperback mysteries to biographies.
