Trauma Informed Organizations

Is your organization struggling to implement trauma-informed practices?

Did you attend a training on trauma-informed care but are unsure where to get started?

Does it feel like your trauma-informed practices have stalled?

Whether you're new to trauma-informed care or hoping to deepen your organization's practices, I have tools and strategies to help you achieve your goals related to trauma-informed care.

For over twenty years, I have provided training and operational support to nonprofit, for-profit, and governmental organizations to achieve goals related to equity, trauma-informed care, and resilience. Projects include:

  • Designing and implementing trauma-informed standards of care, including operational policies, for organizations ranging in size from less than 30 employees to more than 400 staff members in multiple locations,
  • Delivering training and education on stress, trauma, neurobiology, and resilience to hundreds of professionals including social workers, educators, community advocates, and healthcare professionals.
  • Providing one-on-one support to organizational leaders to effectively implement trauma-informed practices across their department or division.

Most organizations who struggle to fully implement trauma-informed practices fail to look beyond training or adjusting policies and procedures. Organizations who succeed at trauma-informed care experience a culture shift that benefits everyone involved in the system.
